​Simulation training in Ophthalmology has evolved over the last few years with newer and more life-like model eyes being available for most commonly performed laser and surgical procedures. Unfortunately these eyes can be very expensive and may not be readily accessible to most trainees throughout the world.

At Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre, we have been recording simulation videos of procedures on pig eyes, which are readily available and come at minimal cost.
