FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is this simulation course about?
Currently, trainees gain experience performing complex intricate intraocular procedures by practicing on animal eyes in wet labs or by observing consultants and senior colleagues and thus have limited resources to gain hands on skills.
These simulation courses will enable trainees to perform and practice various surgical skills on model eyes, designed specifically for training – the most life-like to date.

I am based outside the uk and am interested in running this type of course locally. Will you be able to help?
Yes of course. The heads and eyes are portable. As long as the set up is available locally, we can consider running this course locally at your institution. For further details please send us your query via the Contact Us page.
What set up is required locally to run this course at my hospital?
Typically, for the Laser course, a dedicated Laser Suite with the different Laser machines is all that is needed to run the course. For the Intraocular Course, a wet lab with microscopes is ideal but not essential. If portable microscopes can be hired locally, then the course can be set up. All the rest of the kit will be provided by our team.
I am an OPHTHALMIC Allied healthcare professional AND AM ONLY INTERESTED IN ONLY SOME OF THE STATIONS INSTEAD OF THE WHOLE COURSE. WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO REGISTER FOR PART OF THE COURSE?
Unfortunately you cannot register for part of the course. However, if you are only interested in certain stations eg intravitreal injections or YAG laser, please send us a request via the Contact Us page for arranging separate training sessions.
